Best Places To Find Speech And Debate On Social Media

There are many places speech and debate can be found but not all places speech and debate can be found are equal. Speech and debate thrives on some specific platforms much more than others and if you want to see more speech and debate within your digital life, then these are the places to go. Here are our top 3 in no particular order:

  • Discord

Shocker right? Yet Discord has many active speech and debate communities, some even having thousands of active server members. It’s easily one of the best places to go to for debaters with it’s voice chat and real-time texting, making it more immersive and significant for learning and experience.

The same is true for speakers who can speak to online audiences within the servers via the voice chat (Which supports video calling) and receive feedback. Furthermore, it’s a good place to share resources and ideas among your fellow debaters and speakers

  • TikTok

The app we all know and love. While it’s not as immersive as discord for practice it is greatly helpful with many tips, tricks and information all packed into short digestible videos. It’s just as good for entertainment when it comes to speech and debate as well. Hundreds of challenges, memes, and hot takes that’ll keep you engaged in the speech and debate atmosphere.

  • YouTube

Last but not least, one of the staple platforms for speech and debate. You can find national final rounds, In-depth tips and topic analyses, interviews and so much more. Speech and debate has been active on YouTube for years and it will continue to be active on it for a long time— if you want to find speech and debate. YouTube is the place

Speech and Debate’s Growth on Social Media

Speech and debate is still finding new homes on social media. Platforms like TikTok and Instagram are becoming places (arenas) where rhetoric and persuasion take center stage, these spaces democratize access to a traditionally exclusive(ish) world

Take TikTok’s trending “debate lives,” for instance, where users go back and forth in lives between topics.— one of the most explicit examples of applicable debate. Meanwhile, YouTube channels provide countless tutorials on mastering cross-examination or delivering captivating opening speeches,.

Social media truly amplifies the human side of debate and speech if you look in the right places

That’s all for now, hopefully it’s easier for you to engage with speech and debate from now on. If not, don’t worry, you always have us ;)
